Uterine Cavity Assessment

Implantation failure or a miscarriage sometime happen because of an abnormality in the uterine cavity e.g. polyps, adhesions or scar tissue or even a septum that you were born with. Even minor abnormalities can cause problems and dealing with them would improve your chances of success.

We can explore the uterine cavity by saline hysterography (aqua scan, SAS) in which we inject saline in the uterine cavity through a thin catheter and check its integrity by ultrasound scan. If the aqua scan shows any abnormality, we can then perform hysteroscopy for its treatment.
