Mohsen Attia – Laboratory Manager

Mohsen Attia MB ChB MMedSci
Laboratory Manager

Mohsen Attia joined us here at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy in 2020 as Lab and Quality Manager.

He has a strong scientific background supported by a Master’s degree in Assisted Reproduction Technology and also in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Mohsen is recognised by the Health and Care Professionals Council as a State Registered Clinical Embryologist / EHSRE certified clinical embryologist and HFEA certified PR. He is both an ICSI and Embryo Biopsy practitioner.

Mohsen began his career in embryology in 2009 at Guy’s Assisted Conception Unit as a trainee Embryologist where he completed his training and obtained HCPC registration as a clinical scientist. He then managed the IVF laboratory at Newlife clinic in Epsom for two years. He was employed by highly recognised IVF clinics including Guys’ ACU, Hammersmith Wolfosn fertility and ARGC. He is also an external lecturer in Nottingham University for Master’s students in ART.


Omnia Elhaj – Senior Clinical EmbryologistOmnia Elhaj MBBS MD
Senior Clinical Embryologist

Omnia Elhaj is a Senior Clinical Embryologist here at the clinic. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery from Sudan and a Master’s degree in Biotechnology of Human Assisted Reproduction and Embryology from Spain.

Her career kicked off in 2006 as an Embryologist Deputy Manager in assisted reproduction. From that point onwards, she embarked on a journey to gain experience in the top clinics in Sudan. This foundation enabled her to progress in international locations spanning from Africa to Europe. Omnia began her career in the UK in 2018 at Newlife and ARGC. She joined The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy in 2020.

Omnia is a crucial member of the team here at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy and is always attentive to the needs of patients as well as her colleagues. She is enthusiastic about utilising her skills to positively impact couples on their fertility journey, aiming to provide them with a satisfying and rewarding experience.

Kyrillos Salib – Deputy Practice Manager and Trainee EmbryologistKyrillos Salib MBCHB BSc
Deputy Practice Manager and Trainee Embryologist

Kyrillos Salib is a valuable member of the team at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy, with medical and scientific background experience as a graduated doctor and scientist. His qualifications include an MBCHB and BSc from Mansoura University (Egypt). He joined the Academy in 2021 with the aim of gaining experience in fertility, reproductive immunology, assisted conception and embryology, and since then has portrayed great enthusiasm, a willingness to learn, and notable skill progress within these areas.

A keen team member, Kyrillos has excelled in his role as Deputy Manager and Trainee Embryologist. His previous experience has allowed him to flourish in the day-to-day management of the Academy, however, these important responsibilities do not impinge on his training. He displays a discerning interest in embryology, which he hopes to explore further under the guidance of the experienced team at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy. Kyrillos is also a member of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).

Nirmala Budhathoki - Nurse Manager

Nirmala Budhathoki
Nurse Manager, RCN Registered Nurse

Having qualified as a nurse in Germany, Nirmala moved to the UK in 2006 and worked in two prestigious IVF clinics for 16 years before joining the team at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy.

She is dedicated to her work, patient-focused and provides a comprehensive experience in a clinical setting. She produces high quality independent work, and has excellent regard for detail and accuracy, strong follow-through and confident administrative skills.

Nirmala loves helping patients and is seen as a go-to person by her colleagues when it comes to queries. A highly organised and perceptive team member, she ensures the clinic runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis, which helps to maintain an efficient, positive environment for patients, as well as staff.

When not at work, Nirmala loves to spend time with her children, family and friends.

Prerna Sharma - Fertility Nurse

Prerna Sharma
Fertility Nurse

Prerna became a qualified nurse in 2020. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from a local college in India and underwent a year of practical, on-the-job experience in an Indian hospital. In 2022, Prerna moved to the UK to pursue and obtain a master’s degree in Healthcare Leadership.

She is a firm believer in providing quality, patient-centred care, and does so in her work at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy. She enjoys getting to know the people she works with and she is a self-disciplined and hard working member of our team.

As a great benefit to our diverse range of patients, Prerna can communicate in Hindi and Punjabi, alongside English. In her free time, Prerna likes to travel and spend time with her family.

Sherrmaine Uy - Registered nurse

Sherrmaine Uy
Registered Nurse, BSc

Sherrmaine received her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from a local college in the Philippines in 2011. Following this, she gained practical nursing experience in different clinical areas within local hospitals in the Philippines, before moving to Saudi Arabia in 2014 to work as OB/GYN Nurse. In 2020, Sherrmaine became a qualified nurse in the UK and worked in Colchester, Essex for more than three years.

Sherrmaine has excellent attention to detail, is organised and always eager to improve her knowledge. With great compassion and empathy, she is committed to providing a high quality of care to patients at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy. On top of this, she is a team player; she loves working with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary healthcare staff.

In addition to her professional work, Sherrmaine loves to travel and play badminton. A good work-life balance is one of her priorities, and this helps to ensure that she is content and able to contribute fully to our work at the Academy.

Sophie Taylor
Fertility Nurse, MSc BSc

Sophie graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Midwifery from the University of Nottingham in 2018, and began her career in the fulfilling path of midwifery immediately following her course. She joined The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy with five-and-a-half years of practical midwife experience, having already worked with a diverse range of patients.

Sophie also has a Master of Science in Public Health from The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, which she completed in 2022, equipping her with the knowledge needed to contribute to improving and protecting the health of patients and the community.

As part of our team, she enjoys providing high quality, individualised care to those on their fertility journey.

Viktoriya Khoma – Natural Health Coach

Viktoriya Khoma
Natural Health Coach

Viktoriya has 20 years’ experience in natural health, fitness and nutrition. She joined The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy in 2024, and delivers tailored natural health solutions to our patients to support them in their fertility journeys.

Viktoriya takes all aspects of patients’ lifestyles into account before creating a bespoke treatment plan, which provides the best foundation for achieving their fertility goals. She is an advocate for holistic fertility, and works closely with both partners to strengthen their mental and physical health through exercise, nutrition, meditation and other natural fertility remedies.

Having received a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in 2005, Viktoriya worked as a personal trainer, fitness coach and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) coach while developing her passion, knowledge and experience in natural health. She has worked with clients at London’s premium health and fitness clubs, as well as in corporate environments.

Viktoriya’s positive, empathetic and all-embracing approach helps patients feel at ease throughout their fertility journey and pregnancy, all the while equipped with knowledge and advice to support their wellbeing.
