Courtney Donkin
Nurse

Courtney joined The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy in April 2018 and we’re delighted to have her on the team. She enjoys working closely with patients and her warm, bubbly personality helps them to feel at ease. Courtney oversees the entire patient journey, from explaining how to take medication, to assisting Dr Gorgy in theatre during egg collections and embryo transfers.

Originally from Australia, Courtney received a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Newcastle where she specialised in critical care nursing and theatre roles, working across anaesthetics, recovery and scrub/scout. Additionally, she has a Graduate Certificate in Anaesthetics and Recovery Nursing from the University of Tasmania.

After completing her training Courtney moved into a clinical nurse specialist/nurse manager role where she oversaw 20 theatres and all specialties. In 2016 she made the move to the UK to pursue fertility nursing as it combined her passion for theatre and patient contact.
