Julie Høie Nordbø, Fertility nurse

Julie Høie Nordbø, BSc Nursing

 Julie completed her Bachelor of Nursing at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) in Bergen in June 2025. Before joining The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy, she worked in a short-term care facility, gaining experience with a wide range of patients and healthcare needs.

Julie is passionate about women’s health and is excited to begin her nursing career in the fertility field. She looks forward to developing her clinical skills further and hopes to pursue postgraduate studies in midwifery or reproductive health in the future.

Originally from Norway, Julie moved to the UK in the summer of 2025. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, exercising, and spending time with her loved ones.

Harriet Mavin, Registered nurse

Harriet Mavin BSc, PGDip Midwifery

Harriet completed her Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Technology, Sydney in 2019. After working as a nurse in predominantly mental health and COVID-19 wards for 2 years, she went on the pursue a Post Graduate Diploma in Midwifery.

After working as a midwife for 2 years in a tertiary hospital in Sydney, Australia, Harriet moved to the UK to pursue fertility nursing.

Harriet joined The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy team and is able to combine both her midwifery and nursing experience here in the clinic. She provides nurturing and supportive care to the women and their families that come through the clinic. 

When not at work, Harriet loves being outdoors, travelling, and playing netball.

Prerna Sharma, fertility nurse

Prerna Sharma BSc MSc

Prerna became a qualified nurse in 2020. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing from a local college in India and underwent a year of practical, on-the-job experience in an Indian hospital. In 2022, Prerna moved to the UK to pursue and obtain a master’s degree in Healthcare Leadership.

She is a firm believer in providing quality, patient-centred care, and does so in her work at The Fertility & Gynaecology Academy. She enjoys getting to know the people she works with and she is a self-disciplined and hard working member of our team.

As a great benefit to our diverse range of patients, Prerna can communicate in Hindi and Punjabi, alongside English. In her free time, Prerna likes to travel and spend time with her family.
